Extremely Rare Large Japanese Buddha, a large Japanese carved and gild wood figure of Buddha Shakyamuni. The Buddha Shakyamuni, elegantly sculpted, standing on a double lotus throne above an eight-cornered pedestal in samabhanga, his right hand in vitarkamudra, his left hand in varada, wearing pleated monk’s garb, his face with serene expression, further raised on a stepped and carved black lacquer and gilt plinth, surmounted with a radiating halo.
