To the best of our knowledge, a similar piece could not be found on the European art market at this moment. The house is a masterpiece and very rare regarding its style, details, pigment and period (Eastern Han dynasty). Houses of this type and style are most rare and examples can only be found in Henan Museum, China. The Royal Museums of Art and History in Brussel had exhibited the collection of the Henan Museum from 28 September 2007 till 20 April 2008. Since then no second one has been seen on the market. This is a once in a life time opportunity to buy such exceptional work of art.

A similar pottery House with Warehouse was included in the exhibition, “Onder Dak in China”, The Royal Museum of Art and History Brussels, September 28, 2007 – 20 April, 2008 catalogue, p. 50 and p. 115, nr. 35.

This Extremely Rare and Important Large Han Dynasty House is from a big significance. From the front of the house, two stairs lead to the balcony of the basement – the granary. The cantilever beams in the shape of dragon – headed dragons and the finely detailed corbels, which support balconies and roofs. The corbels at the corners supporting the top roof are unusual for this period. On the ridge is a vermilion bird, a zhuniao or zhuque.
