Giltwood Thousand – Hand Japanese Buddha, 18TH Century, impressive Japanese carved giltwood and lacquer thousand-hand Buddha, standing before large flame-shaped mandorla carved with swirling clouds, wearing head and neck pieces of gilt-metal and glass beads, with multiple arms emanating from sides, resting on double lotus and supported on tiered base.
