Horse and Rider Tang

Horse and Rider Tang, a painted red pottery equestrian figure, the foreign rider with his hands positioned as if pulling on the reins, he wears a short jacket belted over a tunic and pants, his hair pulled up and bunched above his forehead under a cloth tied around his head, his face is well modelled with stern expression and a hooked nose, big round eyes, seated astride a saddle with black saddle cloth and white, red and black saddle blankets, the horse standing four-square with open mouth, red body, with traces of red slip, black, red and white pigment.
The result of the thermoluminescence test, is consistent with the dating of the item.
