Han Dynasty Cocoon Jar, a painted pottery cocoon jar, of horizontal egg shape above an reverted foot and below a waisted neck, the elaborate painted design consists of three vertical vermilion bands bordered in white and decorated with criss-crossed lines. The space between the bands contains scrolls in red, green, and white, with white dots. The two ends of the cocoon are decorated by a circle containing a spiral.
